About Me

Hello! I am a music teacher, vocalist, and performer living in Queens, NY. I graduated from Ball State University with my Bachelors in Music Education. As a teacher, I believe every student should use music to feel empowered to see the strength and potential in themselves while also appreciating and giving that same energy to others.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great. This quote from Mark Twain embodies who I want to be as a person, and more specifically as an educator. Education in general should be valued because it is what creates well rounded, self sufficient humans that are able to apply knowledge to their everyday life. As educators we are giving young minds tools to shape how they will think, learn, and grow as they continue to experience new things. Music Education however, to me, dives deeper into the mind and opens doors to not just knowledge, but one's emotions, passions, and even moral development. My philosophy of education is that every student should use music to feel empowered to see the strength and potential in themselves while also appreciating and giving that same energy to others. I want to create an environment where students use the arts (music specifically), to grow together to become more compassionate, just, strong and enriched humans in society.
